Job summary

FMOL Health is seeking an MRI Tech 2 to prepare patients for MRI exams, acquire images, and ensure safety for patients and staff. The role includes patient screening, education, and maintaining equipment and documentation per policy.

The candidate should have MRI course training and an associate degree or radiologic technology program completion, with ARRRT MR and BLS certification preferred. Experience with MRI terminology and procedures is valued.

Qualifications

• Exhibits working knowledge of all MRI equipment and procedures.
• Routinely questions patient before procedure to obtain history.
• Explains procedure to facilitate cooperation and alleviate anxiety.
• Coordinates MRI schedule with other areas to prevent patient waiting.
• Reports all equipment problems to chief technologist and places service call.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate MRI scheduling with other departments to prevent delays.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and improve cooperation.
• Perform MRI examinations accurately and efficiently without compromising quality.
• Complete Exam Data Entry fields and document patient information.
• Be available for rotating on-call shifts to ensure 24-hour coverage.
