Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of physiology and human anatomy related to MRI.
• ARRT MR certification is expected; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification not optional.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits working knowledge of MRI equipment and procedures.
• Screens patients and monitors safety prior to entering the MRI area.
• Routinely questions patient history and explains procedures to alleviate anxiety.
• Coordinates MRI scheduling with other areas to prevent patient wait times.
• Reports equipment problems and ensures PPE usage and infection control practices.
• Provides complete pre- and post-education to patients and families.
