Job summary

Piedmont Newnan Hospital is seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI examinations under the supervision of a Radiologist and to provide patient care across neonatal to geriatric ages.

The role requires ARRT Radiography certification and AMA/JRCERT education, with BLS certification as an added credential. Some experience is preferred, and the team values patient outcomes and collaborative care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• None 6 months MRI experience preferred.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R) is required by law.
• BLS certified.

Responsibilities

• MRI technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomical and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease.
• MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist.
• MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:None 6 months as an MRI Technologists preferred.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:BLS certified.
