Job summary

Piedmont Walton Hospital is seeking an Imaging Technologist to join the MRI team. Under the supervision of Radiologists, you will perform diagnostic MRI examinations and ensure patient safety and comfort across pediatric to geriatric patients.

Candidates must graduate from an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited training, maintain ARDMS or ARRT registration, and hold BCLS. No long-term experience required, though 6 months MRI experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited training.
• Work Experience: No experience required; 6 months MRI experience preferred.
• Licenses and Certifications: ARDMS or ARRT Radiography registration; BCLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations under supervision of Radiologist.
• Provide patient care across age groups (neonate to geriatrics) during MRI procedures.

Responsibilities

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
