Job summary

Piedmont HealthCare seeks a skilled MRI Technologist for PIedmont Rockdale Hospital. You'll perform diagnostic MR exams, ensure patient safety, and work under the supervision of a Radiologist. The role requires ARRT MRI certification and BLS, with experience in MRI imaging and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program required.
• Graduate of a JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program required.
• 1 year experience as an MRI Technologist required.
• ARRT Radiography Certification (R) and MR) required upon hire; ARRT MRI certification required upon hire.
• BLS - Basic Life Support required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI examinations in accordance with prescribed standards under the supervising Radiologist.
• Provide patient care to diverse age groups including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Adhere to magnetic safety requirements and demonstrate ability to perform advanced MR imaging procedures.
• Utilize cross-sectional anatomy and physiology knowledge to meet patient needs and provide quality imaging.

Responsibilities

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Adheres to all safety requirements for magnetic safety. Demonstrates ability to perform advance MR imaging procedures and is competent/proficient with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Provides more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs.

Education
