Job summary

Genesis HealthCare System is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI procedures and support patient care. The role requires operating MRI equipment, selecting appropriate protocols, and assisting in MR-guided procedures.

Candidates must be ARRT or ARMRIT certified (or eligible within 2 years) and CPR-certified, with strong communication and teamwork skills. This on-site position offers a varied shift and opportunities for professional growth within the MRI department.

Qualifications

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), or eligible to obtain within 2 years of hire.
• Competence in diagnostic and invasive MRI procedures performed at the facility.
• Excellent interpersonal, decision-making, facilitation, conflict resolution, listening and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI scanner and associated imaging equipment to complete diagnostic procedures.
• Determines proper technical factors (protocols, sequences) based on patient diagnosis and exam rationale.
• Assists physicians in MR-guided interventional procedures as required.
• Prepares and administers contrast media under physician direction using an automatic injector.
• Follows all safety policies related to MRI operation.
• Uses HIS, RIS, and PACS to process and access department information.
• Assists in transporting patients to and from the department.
• Participates in clinical training of radiology students and provides instruction.
• Contributes to quality assurance/quality control activities as required.
