Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist and deliver high-quality examinations in line with Imaging Department protocols. You will ensure patient safety, operate MRI equipment, and assist the care team in a compassionate environment.

The role requires proficiency with MRI units, injections of contrast dyes, and adherence to safety standards, with on-call coverage as part of the job essentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT licensure required.
• Minimum of 1 year radiology experience.
• Demonstrates safety and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Use MRI equipment to create cross-sectional image scans of patients to help doctors diagnose and treat illness or disease.
• Interact directly with patients and physicians.
• May administer intravenous injections of contrast dyes.
• Maintain safety measures that are specific to MRI.
• Communicate with the rest of the care team as needed.
• Ensuring that patients are comfortable and safe.
