Job summary

CHI Mercy Health in Oregon is seeking a qualified MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI examinations and ensure patient safety throughout the imaging process.

You will prepare patients, operate advanced MRI equipment, collaborate with Radiologists on protocols, and maintain strict QC to support accurate diagnoses. Relocation assistance and a student loan repayment program are available for eligible applicants. Excellent communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited MRI Technology Program.
• ARRT Registered MRI technologist credential.
• BLS within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs all MRI exams delivering high-quality images.
• Operates MRI equipment and ensures patient safety during scans.
• Collaborates with Radiologist to determine imaging protocols.
• Maintains MRI QC and equipment calibration.
• Prepares patients and provides clear post-scan instructions.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist in diagnosing medical conditions. Every day you will prepare patients for scans, operate advanced MRI equipment, ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment, and accurately capture detailed anatomical images. To be successful, you will demonstrate expert technical proficiency in MRI, meticulous attention to detail for image quality and safety, and excellent patient communication to ensure a comfortable and effective diagnostic experience.

• Performs all MRI exams providing images of high quality.
• Performs special MR imaging techniques for special need patient groups.
• Understands the use of pulse oximetry, gating devices, power injector and all MRI accessories.
• Consults with Radiologist for special protocols on special imaging cases.
• Ensures MRI QC (quality control) is performed on equipment.
• Student loan repayment program as well as relocation assistance offered!

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduate of an accredited MRI Technology Program
• Oregon MRI License
• ARRT Registered Technologist MRI
• AHA BLS within 30 Days

Preferred

• Previous MRI Technologist experience
