Job summary

Mercy is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to perform specialized MRI procedures, producing diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation. The role emphasizes patient care, MR safety, and accurate imaging, with ongoing use of MRI scanners, injectors, and workstations.

A Bachelor degree is preferred, and certification in MRI is required or expected. Qualified candidates will have ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT credentials, at least 1 year of experience or a recent bachelor degree, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist or MRI Technologist program with clinical hours.
• 1+ year of relevant experience or a Bachelor degree.
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification in MRI.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized MRI procedures to generate diagnostic images.
• Provide patient care essential to MRI procedures and ensure MR safety.
• Maintain proficiency with MRI equipment and anatomical knowledge.

Position Details

Performs specialized MRI procedures on patients, resulting in diagnostic images for interpretation by a radiologist. Also provides the patient care essential to these procedures. Applies principles of MR safety. Two registries working in area or Super User for select programs.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or MRI Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.

Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience OR graduate of Bachelor degree program.

Licensure/Certifications: ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT 1 Advanced registry (MRI)- working in the area.

Other Skills & Knowledge

• IV Insertion
• Technical skill in medical scanning, understanding of cross sectional anatomy, and 3-D knowledge.
