Job summary

ImageCare Radiology in New Jersey is seeking an MRI Technologist for our Hackettstown office. You will perform MRI examinations, prepare patients of all ages, and administer contrast per established guidelines to support accurate diagnoses.

Responsibilities include coordinating with radiologists and referring physicians, maintaining records, and staying current with ARRT/ARMRIT certification through ongoing education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with specialized schooling or equivalent.
• BLS certification required.
• ARRT/ARMRIT certification required.
• Diagnostic Radiography license preferred.

• Coordinate with referring physicians and radiologists to ensure accurate, timely procedures.
• Be familiar with scheduling procedures for MRI.
• Maintain patient film file records and documentation.
• Maintain continuing education credits to keep ARRT/ARMRIT certification.
• Keep work area clean and stocked.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable MRI Technologist to join our dynamic team at our Hackettstown office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing MRI procedures for referring physicians of a quality that aids in the diagnosis of the patient. Please note that all candidates must report to Mount Olive for first day onboarding.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform MRI examinations on patients of all ages including the administration of contrast material as assigned in accordance with established guidelines in a manner that ensures an accurate and complete examination and treatment providing the highest patient care.
• Organize and document all aspects of assigned patient care in coordination with referring physician and the radiologist to ensure accurate and timely performance of procedures.
• Knowledge of scheduling procedures for MRI.
• Maintenance and organization of patient film file records.
• Maintain continuing education units as required to ensure ARRT/ARMRIT certification.
• Maintain a clean and stocked work area.
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; plus 1+ years of related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• BLS Certification (Required)
• ARRT/ARMRIT Certification (Required)
• Diagnostic Radiography License (Preferred, but not required)

• Siemens Machine: 1 year (Preferred)
