Job summary

ImageCare Radiology in Annandale, NJ seeks a CT Technologist to perform CT examinations for patients of all ages, administer contrast as needed, and uphold high standards of patient care in a fast-paced imaging environment.

Applicants should hold ARRT certification, NJ State license, and BLS (preferred). Must verify orders, document care, and maintain HIPAA practices; experience with EMR and PACS is a plus.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required for CT technologist role.
• NJ State license required for practice in NJ.
• BLS certification preferred; additional certifications considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT examinations on patients of all ages, including the administration of contrast material as assigned.
• Verify patient exam orders and ensure accurate, complete examinations.
• Coordinate with radiologists and referring physicians; document patient care in EMR and PACS.
• Maintain HIPAA practices, organize patient film files, and ensure proper prior imaging handling.

Schedule:

Every other Saturdays 8:00AM-4:00PM at our Annandale Office. All new hires are required to attend first-day orientation at our Mount Olive office before reporting to their assigned work location or training site.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Performs CT procedures for referring physicians of a quality that aids in the diagnosis of the patient.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform CT examinations on patients of all ages including the administration of contrast material as assignedinaccordance withestablished guidelines in a manner that ensuresan accurateand complete examination and treatment providing the highest patient care.
• Always verify patient with exam order and study to be performed prior to placing patient on the scanningtable.
• Organize and document all aspects of assigned patient care in coordination with the referring physician(s) and the radiologist to ensureaccurateandtimelyperformance of procedures.
• Knowledge of scheduling procedures for CT and MRI.
• Maintenance and organization of patient film file records in our EMR and on site as needed.
• Handling patient priors as needed.
• Checking and verifying exam with EMR order vs Rx
• Verifying images, notes, authorization number if pertinent to patient exams.
• Verifying Physician study routing preferences.
• Scan in patient paperwork and verify exams in PACS with all necessary information for Radiologist to read exam.
• Maintains continuing education asrequiredto ensure ARRT certification.
• Maintain clean and stocked work area .
• Maintain HIPAA practices and HIPAA training

Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
