RWJBarnabas Health in Somerset, NJ is seeking an MRI Technician to perform high-quality diagnostic MRI imaging and ensure patient comfort throughout the exam. The role involves collaboration with physicians and the MRI team to deliver precise scans in a fast-paced environment.

Qualified candidates are graduates of an accredited radiologic technology or MRI program, licensed in NJ or ARMRIT with ARRT, and must maintain BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology or accredited MRI program.
• Licensed by the State of New Jersey or ARMRIT accepted in conjunction with ARRT.
• Maintains required BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider through the American Heart Association.

Responsabilités

• Assist Physicians as needed.
• Assist in orientation of staff and students.
• Be proficient with RIS & PACS and other IT programs.
• Maintain a neat, clean, stocked work area.
• Obtain proper medical history and accurate patient information.
• Perform standard MRI procedure techniques and protocols.
• Identify anatomical structures and differentiate normal/abnormal, and recognize artifacts.

A Typical Day For a MRI Technician May Include

• Assists Physicians as needed
• Assists in the orientation of new staff and/or students
• Competent in the use of RIS & PACS system, and other IT programs utilized.
• Maintains a neat, clean and stocked work area.
• Obtains proper medical history and insures accurate patient demographic and medical information.
• Performs all standard techniques for procedure protocols
• Recognizes the significant of all structures visualized and is able to differentiate normal from abnormal and recognizes artifacts. Understands when to seek advice
• Reports equipment problems to supervising Technologist
• May perform other duties as assigned or directed by management.

To be considered for this MRI Technician opportunity, you must:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology or accredited school of MRI technology.
• Licensed by the State of New Jersey or American Registry of MRI Technologist (ARMRIT) accepted in conjunction with ARRT
• Maintains required BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider through American Heart Association
