Job summary

ImageCare Radiology is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT procedures for referring physicians, ensuring accurate examinations and high-quality patient care. This role emphasizes verification of orders, coordination with radiologists, and maintaining EMR/PACS documentation in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT examinations on patients of all ages with contrast as needed.
• Verify exam orders and patient identity prior to scanning.
• Coordinate with referring physicians and radiologists to ensure timely procedures.
• Knowledge of scheduling procedures for CT and MRI.
• Maintain and organize patient film records in EMR and on site.
• Handle patient priors and verify exam details with EMR/Rx.
• Scan patient paperwork and verify exams in PACS for radiologist read.
• Maintain ongoing ARRT continuing education requirements.
• Maintain clean, stocked work area and HIPAA training compliance.

SCHEDULE:

Saturdays, 8:00AM - 4:00PM. All new hires are required to attend first-day orientation at our Mount Olive office before reporting to their assigned work location or training site.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Performs CT procedures for referring physicians of a quality that aids in the diagnosis of the patient.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform CT examinations on patients of all ages including the administration of contrast material as assigned in accordancewith established guidelines in a manner that ensures an accurate and complete examination and treatment providing the highest patient care.
• Always verify patient with exam order and study to be performed prior to placing patient on the scanning table.
• Organize and document all aspects of assigned patient care in coordination with the referring physician(s) and the radiologist to ensure accurate and timely performance of procedures.
• Knowledge of scheduling procedures for CT and MRI.
• Maintenance and organization of patient film file records in our EMR and on site as needed.
• Handling patient priors as needed.
• Checking and verifying exam with EMR order vs Rx
• Verifying images, notes, authorization number if pertinent to patient exams.
• Verifying Physician study routing preferences.
• Scan in patient paperwork and verify exams in PACS with all necessary information for Radiologist to read exam.
• Maintains continuing education as required to ensure ARRT certification.
• Maintain clean and stocked work area .
• Maintain HIPAA practices and HIPAA training

Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
