Job summary

RadNet in Maryland seeks an In Suite Assistant 1 to join a dedicated team delivering quality MRI care in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will support MRI technologists, assist with coil setup, patient screening, and ensure safety and patient information confidentiality.

Qualified candidates bring a high school diploma, MR Technologist Assistant program completion, and at least one year in a medical setting; strong communication and lifting ability are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• At least one year experience in medical setting.
• Completion of approved MR Technologist Assistant program, including hands-on clinical training.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, public relations and verbal and written communication.
• Able to assist in lifting patients onto table.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to MRI Steering Technologist, Radiologists and/or administrative staff to provide optimal MRI safety and patient care.
• Convey patient history to the MRI Technologist for accurate MRI safety, assist MRI Technologists to ensure MRI safety, coil positioning, patient screening and/or history and patient observation during exams.
• Support technologists with procedures as needed; which includes the set-up of coils, schedule maintenance, and/or clean-up of MRI suite
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
