RadNet in New York, NY is seeking an In Suite Assistant 1 to support the MRI team and patient care. You will assist MRI technologists, ensure safety, position coils, screen patients, and help maintain the suite while upholding privacy and professional standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, BLS certification, and at least one year in a medical setting, plus completion of an approved MR Technologist Assistant program. Competitive hourly pay and full imaging center benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• At least one year experience in medical setting.
• Completion of approved MR Technologist Assistant program, including hands-on clinical training.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to MRI Steering Technologist, Radiologists and/or administrative staff to provide optimal MRI safety and patient care.
• Convey patient history to the MRI Technologist for accurate MRI safety and assist MRI Technologists with MRI safety, coil positioning, and patient observation during exams.
• Support technologists with setup of coils, schedule maintenance, and cleanup of MRI suite.
• Safeguard patient property and Health Information.
• Safeguard medications on site according to policies and legal requirements.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
• Interact diplomatically with patients, families, and the public in a clinical setting.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
