Job summary

RadNet in the United States is seeking an In Suite Assistant 1 to join a dedicated team delivering quality MRI support and patient care. You will work alongside MRI technologists and radiologists to ensure safety and smooth operations in the imaging suite.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and at least one year of medical setting experience. Training includes hands-on clinical work in the MR suite and patient interaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to MRI Steering Technologist, Radiologists and/or administrative staff to provide optimal MRI safety and patient care.
• Convey patient history to the MRI Technologist for accurate MRI safety, assist MRI Technologists to ensure MRI safety, coil positioning, patient screening and/or history and patient observation during exams.
• Support technologists with procedures as needed; including setup of coils, schedule maintenance, and clean-up of MRI suite.
• Demonstrates competency regarding safeguarding patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on-site medications per company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
