Job summary

RadNet is seeking an MRI Technical Assistant to support patient care in MRI suites and outpatient settings. You will assist MRI technologists, prepare patients, and ensure accurate documentation and safety throughout exams.

Responsibilities include coordinating patient flow, maintaining supply levels, and ensuring HIPAA and safety guidelines are followed. A high school diploma or GED and 1 year in a medical setting are required, with BLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year experience in medical setting.
• Proficient medical terminology knowledge.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent public relation, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
• Effective time management skills.
• Ability to pay attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple assignments at a time.
• Ability to interact effectively with doctors, patients, vendors, peers, staff, and management.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Take accurate patient medical history with MRI safety and record them in the chart/EMR.
• Travel to Radiology Imaging Associates outpatient settings as needed (except Jupiter, FL).
• Accurately maintain and record patient communication during exams.
• Work with MRI technologist to prepare, set up, position, and monitor patients in MRI suite.
• Stock and maintain supply levels for assigned area; restock following site guidelines.
• Comply with HIPAA, safety guidelines, PPE usage.
• Organize and assist patient flow throughout the facility area.
• Assist all imaging center staff.
• Assist in obtaining prior imaging and other records for radiologists/technologists.
• Manage time to maintain patient/schedule flow as directed.
• Support technologists with coils setup, maintenance, and cleanup of MRI suite.
• Identify and communicate issues to MRI technologists/management.
• Maintain clean, safe MRI control room; decontaminate equipment.
