Job summary

RadNet is seeking an In Suite Assistant 1 to join our radiology team in Newark, Delaware. The role supports MRI safety and patient care, partnering with MRI technologists, radiologists, and staff in a fast-paced clinical setting.

You will assist with coil setup, patient screening, and observation, while ensuring compliance with privacy and safety policies. Strong communication and a patient-focused approach are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• At least one year experience in medical setting.
• Completion of MR Technologist Assistant program with hands-on training.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, public relations and verbal/written communication.
• Must be able to assist in lifting patients onto table.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to MRI Steering Technologist, Radiologists and administrative staff to ensure optimal MRI safety and patient care.
• Convey patient history to MRI Technologist for MRI safety and assist during exams.
• Support technologists with set-up of coils, schedule maintenance, and clean-up of MRI suite.
• Safeguard patient property and PHI and comply with policies.
• Safeguard medications on site per policies and legal requirements.
• Respect company property and patient financial information on site or portals.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during interactions.
• Interact diplomatically with patients, families, and the public in a clinical setting.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
