Job summary

Avera St Mary’s Hospital in Pierre, SD seeks a Radiology Technologist to operate MRI equipment and create diagnostic images under physician direction. The role includes patient preparation, positioning, IV contrast administration, and accurate record-keeping.

You will work with radiologists and the care team to follow protocols, coordinate schedules, and contribute to quality assurance. On-site, regular hours, with on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT Radiography and MR certifications required upon hire.
• Less than 1 year of related work experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment and acquire diagnostic images as directed by physicians.
• Prepare patients and adjust equipment; position and instruct for procedures.
• Administer IV contrast media per protocol and monitor patient condition.
• Maintain records and ensure accuracy of MRI-related reports and logs.
• Collaborate with radiologists and staff on exam specifics and protocols.
