UCLA Health and David Geffen School of Medicine is seeking a dependable Hospital Assistant to support the MRI Radiology team. You will assist MRI technologists with patient preparation, room setup, and safety screening while maintaining a safe, organized environment and a positive patient experience.

The role requires reliability, attention to detail, and strong communication skills to collaborate with technologists, patients, and healthcare staff.

Qualifications

• BCLS certification required (AHA or ARC).
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Independent work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to rotate to WWH/SMH and Outpatient MR Sections as needed.
• Read and communicate in English to convey information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist MRI technologists with patient prep, positioning, and room setup.
• Support MR safety screening and educate patients on MRI procedures and safety requirements.
• Help patients move on/off MRI tables ensuring comfort and safety.
• Prepare and maintain MRI rooms and equipment areas, keeping them clean and stocked.
• Process patient information using CareConnect and Hospital Information System (HIS).
• Assist with verification of image data archival through GE PACSNET/Centricity.
• Contribute to efficient workflow by anticipating technologist and patient needs.
• Provide compassionate, respectful assistance to patients and families.
