Job summary

UCLA Health seeks a dependable Hospital Assistant to support the MRI Radiology team. You will help prepare patients, position them, and maintain a safe, organized environment to keep daily operations running smoothly.

In this role, you’ll work with MRI technologists and care staff to educate patients on MRI safety, assist with patient transfers, and ensure compassionate, high-quality patient care. You may rotate to other imaging locations as needed.

Qualifications

• BCLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately.
• Independent task performance with minimal supervision.
• Ability to adapt to rotating locations within UCLA Health.
• Excellent patient service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist MRI technologists with patient prep, positioning, and room setup.
• Support MR safety screening and patient education on MRI procedures.
• Help patients move on/off MRI tables ensuring comfort and safety.
• Maintain MRI rooms and equipment areas: clean, safe, organized, stocked.
• Process patient information using CareConnect and HIS.
