Job summary

UCLA Health and David Geffen School of Medicine is seeking a dependable Hospital Assistant to support the MRI Radiology team. You will assist MRI technologists with patient preparation, room setup, and safety procedures, helping ensure a smooth, patient-focused workflow in a fast-paced clinical environment.

You will maintain MRI rooms and equipment, manage documentation in CareConnect and HIS, and support image data archiving in GE PACSNET/Centricity.

Qualifications

• BCLS certification from ARC or AHA.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately.
• Independent task execution with minimal supervision.
• Strong multi-tasking and prioritization in a clinical setting.
• Comfort with rotating to different imaging locations as needed.
• Clear English communication with patients and staff.
• Knowledge of CareConnect EMR and HIS systems.
• Familiarity with GE PACSNET Centricity.

Responsibilities

• Assist MRI technologists with patient preparation, positioning and room setup.
• Support MR safety screening and patient education on MRI procedures.
• Help patients transfer on/off MRI tables for comfort and safety.
• Prepare and maintain MRI rooms and stock supplies.
• Process standard documentation in CareConnect and HIS.
• Verify image data archival in GE PACSNET/Centricity.
• Support efficient workflow by anticipating technologist and patient needs.
• Provide compassionate, respectful assistance to patients and families.
