Job summary

Duke Health in Durham, NC is seeking an MRI Supervisor to lead front-line operational, clinical, and people leadership for MRI services across Duke University Hospital and related imaging sites.

This role requires real-time throughput oversight, staff supervision, MRI safety leadership, and collaboration with radiologists, anesthesiology, and nursing. Approximately 50% direct patient care with on-call rotation and periodic off-hours support are expected.

Qualifications

• Requires ARRT/ARDMS/NMTCB certification and BLS certification.
• Four years in an imaging modality (Radiologic Tech, MR, CT, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Sonography, Interventional Radiology) is required.
• Two years of team leader or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operational oversight for MRI services across multiple sites (Tier I huddles, readiness, staffing, access).
• Monitor real-time MRI workflow, address disruptions, coordinate add-ons and reschedules.
• Provide direct supervision of MRI staff, onboarding, performance evaluations, and professional development.
• Serve as MRI Safety Officer or designee, ensure safety zones, training, and incident follow-up.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance, vendor liaison, and implementation of new technologies.
