Job summary

Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center in the Harrisburg region seeks an MRI Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist to operate MRI scanners, monitor patient safety, and ensure high-quality images. You may administer gadolinium contrast and document patient data as required.

Responsibilities include interviewing patients, positioning them for scans, and maintaining patient comfort. ARRT/ARMRIT registration and BLS are required.

Operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners. Monitor patient safety and comfort, and view images of area being scanned to ensure quality of pictures. May administer gadolinium contrast dosage intravenously. May interview patient, explain MRI procedures, and position patient on examining table. May enter into the computer data such as patient history, anatomical area to be scanned, orientation specified, and position of entry.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S) :

• Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) and registered or registry eligible in MRI.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
