Job summary

Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center in Camp Hill is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI scanners and ensure patient safety and comfort while acquiring high-quality images. The role includes potential gadolinium administration, patient interviews, and data entry for the exam.

The position requires ARRT/ARMRIT registration and BLS, with a 0.90 FTE, night shift (Thu–Sat, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.) and a $2.50/hour night differential.

Qualifications

• Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) and registered or registry eligible in MRI.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners. Monitor patient safety and comfort, and view images of area being scanned to ensure quality of pictures. May administer gadolinium contrast dosage intravenously. May interview patient, explain MRI procedures, and position patient on examining table. May enter into the computer data such as patient history, anatomical area to be scanned, orientation specified, and position of entry.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) and registered or registry eligible in MRI.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
