Job summary

University of Washington Medical Center – Northwest in Seattle is seeking an MRI Level II-trained Radiology Technical Assistant for the night shift. You will prepare patients, assist technologists, and help with transfers and positioning under supervision.

Responsibilities include patient transport, RIS/PACS data input, and maintaining a safe, efficient workflow. A high school diploma and CPR/BLS certification are required or obtained soon after hire, with C.N.A. preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent or equivalent. Able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on assigned unit/department.
• DESIRED MRI Level II-trained 1 year patient care experience preferred.
• LICENSE REQUIRED CPR or BLS certification required, must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Certification as a C.N.A in the State of Washington preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for diagnostic examination and assist technologist with limited procedures under supervision.
• Transport patients using safety measures and observe patients during transport.
• Input, edit, cancel exams in RIS/PACS and manage required paperwork and records.
• Coordinate customer service and workflow; answer calls and relay information to staff.
• Assist in other areas (order entry, image library, scheduling, patient transport) as needed.
