The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in Chelsea is seeking an experienced MRI Superintendent Radiographer to join the imaging leadership team. This role provides senior clinical and professional leadership for MRI services across the Chelsea site, supporting education, workforce development and clinical supervision.

Responsabilidades

• Assess the clinical justification of MRI referrals in line with national regulations and local protocols.
• Liaise with referral sources when clarification is required regarding selecting the most clinically appropriate imaging examination.
• Provide expert advice for imaging referrers from within and outside the Trust.
• Assist patients with enquiries regarding their referral in a helpful and friendly manner.
• Book appointments by evaluating clinical information to determine appropriateness, urgency and the most suitable scanner.
• Manage day-to-day workload in line with clinical priorities.
• Promote The Royal Marsden as a centre of excellence in cancer imaging by disseminating image protocols and advising other imaging institutions.
• Perform a range of diagnostic MRI procedures to the department standard on various MRI systems, prioritising patient needs.
