Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Technical Assistant to support radiology teams in the exam rooms and during interventional procedures. This role involves preparing patients, explaining procedures, and ensuring smooth patient flow while maintaining confidentiality and infection control.

The position requires strong communication, computer literacy, and physical stamina to assist with patient transport and equipment handling, under supervision of radiologic staff.

Qualifications

• GED or HiSET required.
• Experience in hospital patient care preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in exam rooms and with interventional procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients and gather demographics.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and infection control.
• Assist with patient transport and handling of equipment (IV poles, oxygen tanks).
• Use hospital systems such as Cerner, Radnet, Synapse, Teletracking.
