Job summary

Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL seeks an MRI Technologist II on a per diem basis. You will perform MRI imaging, prepare patients, and process images while collaborating with the Radiology Department to ensure quality care across all ages, and involve families when appropriate.

The role requires ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification, a high school diploma or GED, CPR (BLS), and strong computer skills; prior MRI experience is preferred. Per diem hours vary with department needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, with an associate degree preferred.
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification required/licensure preferred (Illinois).
• CPR (BLS) certification current; IEMA licensure preferred.
• Prior MRI or radiology experience and strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI imaging procedures and selects technique protocols.
• Prepares and positions patients for MRI; uses immobilization devices as needed.
• Processes and develops images per established procedures.
• Assesses and cares for patients across all ages with appropriate plan of care.
• Involve family in education and care planning when appropriate.
• Performs calibration and quality control to ensure image quality.
• Maintains patient and operational records in Radiology.
