Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL, is seeking a Clinical Imaging Assistant (MRI) to support the Diagnostic Imaging team. This full-time role offers 36 hours per week with rotating shifts, including Sundays, across a busy MRI suite.

You will assist technologists, prep patients and rooms, verify supplies, greet and escort patients, and help with appointment confirmations. Prior healthcare experience and basic medical terminology knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of high school completed.
• One to two years in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology; course completion within first year ideal.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and basic computer skills required.

Responsabilités

• Assist Imaging Technologists with patient care and room setup.
• Prepare examinations, ensure supplies are stocked, and greet escorts.
• Transport patients between departments as needed and confirm appointments.
• Provide clerical support to the Diagnostic Imaging team.

Week 2 Sun 6:30a-7p, Tue, Thu 9a-9:30p.* Will work every Sunday **What you will do:**Assists the Technologists by providing support of the Diagnostic Imaging Department, including multiple clerical and patient service tasks. Assists technologists in providing efficient patient service; assists with patient and room preparation for examinations; ensures that necessary supplies are available; greets patients and escorts them to examination room; transport patients to and from other hospital departments as needed. Calls patients to confirm appointments. **What you will need:*** The level of knowledge normally obtained through the completion of four years of high school.* One to two years of experience in a healthcare setting, especially in direct patient care roles, preferred.* Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy; must complete medical terminology course within first year in position if not completed prior to hire.* Excellent telephone etiquette required.
