Job summary

Responsibilities include greeting patients, assisting with gowning and room setup, coil positioning, and documentation while maintaining HIPAA compliance and MRI safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients of all ages.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced imaging environment.
• Basic proficiency with computers and electronic health record systems.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and assist with patient transfers and mobility.
• Must complete OCI MRI Safety Training prior to entering the MRI suite independently.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to the MRI suite in a welcoming, professional manner.
• Conduct and document MRI safety screening and review questionnaires.
• Verify patient identity and correct exam prior to imaging.
• Assist patients with gowning, lockers, and removal of metal objects.
• Explain MRI procedures to minimize anxiety and ensure cooperation.
• Assist with patient mobility and transfers to the MRI table.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout pre-scan preparation.
