Job summary

Carle Health in Urbana, IL seeks an MRI Assistant to accompany the MRI technologist during procedures, assist with patient care, transport, scheduling, and supply stocking. You will help verify screening forms and coordinate with providers as needed.

This role supports recording notes in EPIC, RIS, and PACS, maintains sterile technique, and performs a variety of duties in the MRI suite under minimal supervision. Prior BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• BLS certification via AHA within 30 days of hire.
• Experience assisting in MRI or similar imaging environments preferred.
• Willingness to perform a variety of patient-care and support tasks.

Responsibilities

• Accompany and assist the MRI technologist with patient care and tasks.
• Maintain sterile techniques and prevent cross contamination; may handle blood or body fluids.
• Transport patients to and from the MRI department and document notes in systems.
• Clean all equipment in the department and assist with other duties as assigned.
