Job summary

You will collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals, maintain equipment, and adhere to privacy and safety regulations. Prior MRI experience and ARRT certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited MRI Technologist program or equivalent education.
• Certification as an ARRT MRI technologist or eligibility to obtain certification.
• BLS certification.
• Knowledge of MRI safety protocols and patient care standards.
• Effective communication with patients and healthcare team members.

Responsibilities

• Position patients for MRI scans and explain procedures to alleviate concerns and ensure cooperation.
• Operate MRI scanners to capture high-quality diagnostic images according to prescribed protocols and physician instructions.
• Monitor patients during imaging procedures to ensure safety and comfort, responding promptly to any adverse reactions or emergencies.
• Maintain and calibrate MRI equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
• Review images for clarity and completeness, collaborating with radiologists to determine if additional imaging is necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging logs in compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy laws.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines to protect patients, staff, and equipment.
