Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks an experienced MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment and manage imaging studies for diverse patient populations. You will work with radiologists and technologists to ensure accurate, high-quality scans and patient safety throughout the procedure.

You will pre-screen patients, position them, select imaging parameters, and submit images to PACS with precise patient data. A strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork is essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Specialized diploma from an accredited Radiology program.
• Ability to handle medical and confidential information ethically.
• Maturity and judgment in working with patients and equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• BLS certification at time of hire in PA.
• RT - Radiologic Technologist or MR/ARRT credentials within required timeframe.
• ARMRIT credential within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI equipment and related computer/image management systems.
• Collaborates with radiologist and staff to perform imaging tests.
• Prepares and positions patients and selects parameters to produce diagnostic images.
• Ensures high-quality images are submitted to PACS with accurate patient data.
• Performs patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
• Maintains department cleanliness and organization.
• Performs contrast injections under supervision.
• Additional duties as needed by the department.
