Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to support MR procedures across musculoskeletal, neurological and body imaging. This part-time role involves patient preparation, image acquisition, and basic post-processing under supervision.

You must be enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology program and obtain BLS within six months, with supervision by a licensed technologist.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and magnetic safety with oversight by a licensed technologist.
• Mentored in IV placement and venipuncture under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist MRI technologists operating MR equipment for diagnostic procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast media under the radiologist guidance.
• Position patient and adjust scanning factors to obtain quality images.
• Post-process images and label with patient data and location.
• Enter study information into the radiology information system and track billing codes.
