Job summary

The US Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist specialized in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). You will operate the MRI scanner to produce high-quality cross sectional images of internal structures for diagnostic purposes.

The successful candidate will be certified in radiologic technology (ARRT, R) and meet credentialing standards, with education in a radiologic technology program. Experience with MRI and a strong commitment to patient care are essential.

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification is required; advanced ARRT certification for MRI is preferred.
• Completion of a 24-month post-high school diagnostic radiologic technology program, accredited by JRCERT or recognized by DOE.
• Credentials must meet Public Law 97-35 and 42 CFR Part 75 standards.
• English language proficiency in speaking and writing as required by 38 U.S.C. 7402(d) and 7407(d).

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to produce cross sectional and multi-planar images.
• Prepare patients and ensure safety during imaging procedures.
• Maintain imaging records and ensure quality control of MRI procedures.
• Possess ability to assess contraindications and manage patient care during imaging.
