Job summary

Illinois Bone & Joint Institute, LLC (IBJI) is seeking a Float MRI/CT Technologist to provide coverage at Des Plaines, Glenview and Morton Grove locations. The role requires Illinois IEMA certification, ARRT in Radiography and MRI, and the ability to operate a C-arm to perform arthrograms.

The position emphasizes high-quality imaging, patient reassurance, and teamwork with radiologists and clinical staff in a fast-paced, clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Current state of Illinois IEMA Certification.
• Current ARRT Certification in Radiography and MRI.
• Ability to operate C-arm to perform arthrograms.
• Current CPR certification.
• Experience working in high-stress environments.
• Self-motivated and self-directed.
• Ability to travel to different facilities as needed.
• Ability to work as a team with receptionists, physicians, and clinical staff.
• Orthopedic experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs to waist height.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment to provide high quality images for patient diagnosis.
• Address patient concerns during procedures and explain the MRI process.
• Use tact, courtesy and poise to keep patients calm and comfortable.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and other health care professionals.
• Troubleshoot peripheral equipment and scanners to avoid downtime.
• Ensure patient safety with aseptic technique and pre-screening for contraindications.
• Ability to use C-arm when needed.
• Handle high-stress environments in a calm manner with patients and staff.
