Job summary

Illinois Bone & Joint Institute (IBJI) seeks a Float MRI/CT Technologist to cover Des Plaines, Glenview, and Morton Grove locations. Requires IL IEMA, ARRT Radiography and MRI, and C-arm arthrogram capability. Must hold CPR and thrive in fast-paced settings.

Travel across facilities is expected, with team collaboration across departments. The position is full-time (40 hours) with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Illinois IEMA certification active
• ARRT Radiography and MRI certifications
• Ability to operate C-arm for arthrograms
• CPR certification present
• Experience in high-stress environments
• Willingness to travel to multiple facilities
• Teamwork with staff across departments
• Orthopedic experience preferred
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnosis
• Explain MRI procedures to patients in a reassuring manner
• Maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and healthcare staff
• Troubleshoot equipment to minimize downtime
• Pre-screen and ensure aseptic technique before procedures
• Utilize C-arm when required
• Maintain composure in high-pressure situations
