Job summary

Illinois Bone & Joint Institute, LLC (IBJI) is seeking a full-time MRI radiology professional to operate imaging equipment across multiple facilities including Gurnee and partner clinics. You will perform high-quality MRI procedures, interact with patients to explain processes, and collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff.

The role requires ARRT radiography and MRI certifications, IEMA state certification, CPR, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

  • Current Illinois IEMA Certification.
  • Current ARRT Certification in Radiography and MRI.
  • Able to operate C-arm for arthrograms.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Experience working in high-stress environments.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Ability to travel to different facilities as needed.
  • Ability to work as a team with receptionists, physicians, and clinical staff.
  • Orthopedic experience preferred.
  • Available to work Full-Time (40 hours/week).
  • Available to support in Gurnee and partnered clinics as needed (Float - Gurnee, Libertyville, McHenry).

Responsibilities

  • Operate imaging equipment for high quality images and information for patient diagnosis.
  • Explain the MRI process to patients in an informative and reassuring way.
  • Use tact, courtesy and poise when dealing with patients and ensuring they receive the best care.
  • Communicate effectively with radiologists and other health care professionals.
  • Troubleshoot peripheral equipment and scanners to minimize downtime and delays.
  • Ensure patient safety with aseptic technique and pre-screening for contraindications.
  • Ability to use C-arm when needed.
  • Handle high-stress environments calmly with patients, co-workers, and physicians.

Job Responsibilities
  • Operate equipment for imaging and anything related on various areas of the body in order to provide high quality images and information for patient diagnosis.
  • Address patient concerns during the procedures, and explain the MRI process to the patient in a way that is informative but also reassuring.
  • Use tact, courtesy and poise when dealing with patients, keeping them calm and ensuring that they get the best care possible.
  • Communicate effectively with radiologists and other health care professionals.
  • Troubleshoot peripheral equipment and scanners to ensure that equipment is operating properly to avoid downtime or delays that affect patient satisfaction.
  • Ensure patient safety with aseptic injection technique and pre-screening for any contra-indications before the procedure.
  • Ability to use C-arm when needed
  • Handle high-stress environments in a calm manner when dealing with patients, co-workers, and physicians.
Requirements
  • Current state of Illinois IEMA Certification
  • Current ARRT Certification in both Radiography and MRI
  • Able to operate C-arm to perform arthrograms
  • Current CPR certification
  • Experience working in high-stress environments

  • Ability to travel to different facilities as needed

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience. We offer the following benefits to those who are benefit eligible (30+ hours a week): medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, long and short term disability, 401k program with company match and profit sharing, wellness program, health savings accounts, flexible savings accounts, ID protection plan and accident, critical illness and hospital benefits.
