Qualifications

Position Overview:

**SIGN-ON BONUS:** $5,000. Available to external candidates in accordance with Sutter Health policy.

Performs routine and specialized Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Computed Tomography (CT) procedures to produce quality images for diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease. Works independently, exercising sound judgment and clinical skills to execute safe, precise procedures that deliver accurate results in a timely manner. Gains confidence and cooperation from patients, their families, and healthcare providers through competent assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication. Adheres to all regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. May also perform specific procedures and/or orient staff to the department.

Education:

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program

Certification & Licensure:

• BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
• CRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist
• RHF - Radiology Fluoroscopy within 180 days of hire if required at the affiliate

Experience:

• Recent relevant experience

Skills and Knowledge:

• Knowledge of diagnostic MRI principles, procedures, views, and equipment, including experience responding to traumas and emergencies
• Ability to perform routine MRI examinations and understand human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for explaining sensitive information
• Strong time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Proficiency with computer applications like Microsoft Office, RIS, LIS, EHR, EPIC, and PACS
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks amidst interruptions
• Problem-solving skills to evaluate and resolve standard issues
• Commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with healthcare providers

Benefits: Yes, non-union, regular, employee status, 30 hours/week.

Pay Range: $63.33 to $79.14/hour, variable based on experience, education, skills, and location.
