Job summary

Texas Oncology in Dallas is seeking a CT‑MRI Technologist for PRN support at the Imaging and Infusion Center. This role can be Level 1, 2, or Sr depending on experience.

The incumbent will perform CT and MRI procedures, assist physicians with study planning, and ensure patient safety and smooth workflow while maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Radiologic Technology; ARRT registered.
  • Minimum three years CT/MRI experience; Level1.
  • Current IV and CPR certifications required; CT/MRI certification preferred.
  • Levels 2 and Sr require five and seven years CT/MRI experience respectively.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT and MRI procedures as ordered with high quality.
  • Advise physicians on appropriateness of additional or modified studies.
  • Escort patients to treatment areas and complete paperwork for CT/MRI services.
  • Develop and process radiologic films; log procedures and routine paperwork.
  • Provide patient safety and comfort as per safety standards.
  • Conduct daily quality control to monitor machine performance and report malfunctions.
  • Arrange preventive maintenance as recommended by vendors; ensure safety standards.

Texas Oncology is looking for a CT‑MRI Tech to join our team for PRN support at the Dallas Imaging and Infusion Center. This position can be Level 1, 2, or Sr based on candidate experience.

Responsibilities
  • Perform CT and MRI procedures as ordered achieving a high level of quality.
  • Offer expertise to physicians regarding appropriateness of additional or modified studies.
  • Escort patients to treatment room, assist with dressings as necessary, and complete all paperwork to ensure timely delivery of CT/MRI services.
  • Develop and process radiologic films; log radiologic procedures and routine paperwork.
  • Provide protection for patient and self in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
  • Ensure the safety and physical comfort of the patient while in technologist care.
  • Conduct daily quality control measures to monitor machine performance; report all malfunctions or need for adjustments to the proper company or facility.
  • Arrange preventive maintenance as recommended by vendor; follow prescribed safety standards in operating equipment.
  • Order, log, and return outside films requested from other agencies; complete appropriate documentation.
  • Arrange for the release of films to patients and outside agencies.
  • Maintain paperwork for tracking loaned films and confidentiality of all information related to patients and medical staff.
Qualifications
  • Level 1 – Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited school, minimum three years experience as a CT/MRI Technologist, certification as a registered radiologic technologist (ARRT) required, current IV and CPR certifications required, certification in CT and MRI preferred.
  • Level 2 (additional to Level 1 requirements) – Minimum five years experience as a CT/MRI Technologist.
  • Level Sr (additional to Level 1 and 2 requirements) – Minimum seven years experience as a CT/MRI Technologist.

Physical demands typically require full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and eye‑hand coordination for operation and repair of all department equipment. Lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Lifts and pushes patients in wheelchairs or stretchers weighing up to 300 pounds and places them in appropriate positions for operation of equipment. Requires ability to reach above shoulder height, sit or stand for extensive periods of time, and corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
