Qualifications

• Requires Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT registration, CPR and IV certifications.
• Level 1: 3+ years CT/MRI experience; CT and MRI certification preferred.
• Level 2: 5+ years CT/MRI experience.
• Level Sr: 7+ years CT/MRI experience.

Overview

Texas Oncology is looking for a CT-MRI Tech to join our team. This position will support the Odessa clinic and is a PRN role. The role can be level 1, 2, or Sr based on candidate experience. Texas Oncology is the largest community oncology provider in the country, with approximately 600+ providers in 220+ sites across Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. Responsibilities

Under general supervision, this technologist is responsible for the coordination and administration of all CT/MRI radiologic exams, ensuring technical quality and timely reporting of results. The role includes:

• Performs CT and MRI procedures as ordered and achieves a high level of quality.
• Offers expertise to physicians regarding the appropriateness of additional or modified studies.
• Escorts patients to the treatment room, assists with dressings as necessary, and completes all required paperwork.
• Develops and processes radiologic films and logs procedures.
• Provides protection for patients and self per safety standards.
• Ensures the safety and physical comfort of patients while in the technologist’s care.
• Conducts daily quality control measures to monitor machine performance and reports any malfunctions.
• Arranges preventive maintenance as recommended by the vendor and follows safety standards when operating equipment.
• Orders, logs, and returns outside films requested from other agencies and maintains appropriate documentation.
• Arranges for the release of films to patients and outside agencies.
• Maintains paperwork for tracking loaned films and protects confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications

Level 1:

• Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited school.
• Minimum three years experience as a CT/MRI technologist.
• Certification as a registered radiologic technologist (ARRT) required.
• Current IV and CPR certifications required.
• Certification in CT and MRI preferred.

Level 2 (in addition to level 1 requirements):

• Minimum five years experience as a CT/MRI technologist.

Level Sr (in addition to levels 1 and 2 requirements):

• Minimum seven years experience as a CT/MRI technologist.

Physical Requirements

Physical demands include lifting and carrying items up to 50 lbs, lifting patients in wheelchairs or stretchers up to 300 lbs, operating equipment requiring eye‑hand coordination, and sitting or standing for extensive periods. Corrected vision and hearing within normal range is required.
