Job summary

The US Oncology Network is seeking a CT/MRI Technician for our Odessa clinic on a PRN basis, with levels 1–Senior depending on experience. You will perform CT and MRI studies, ensure quality, and support physicians with study selections.

Responsibilities include patient transport, safety, film processing, and documentation. Candidates should hold ARRT, IV, and CPR certifications, with CT/MRI certification preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited school.
  • Minimum three years experience as a CT/MRI Technologist.
  • Certification as a registered radiologic technologist (ARRT) required.
  • Current IV and CPR certifications required.
  • Certification in CT and MRI preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs CT and MRI procedures as ordered, achieving a high level of quality.
  • Offers expertise to physicians regarding the appropriateness of additional or modified studies.
  • Escorts patients to the treatment room, assists with dressings as necessary, and completes all paperwork to ensure timely delivery of CT/MRI services.
  • Develops and processes radiologic films, logs radiologic procedures completed, and processes routine paperwork.
  • Provides protection for patient and self in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
  • Ensures the safety and physical comfort of the patient while in the technologist’s care.
  • Conducts daily quality control measures to monitor machine performance and reports all malfunctions or need for adjustments to the proper company or facility.

Overview

Texas Oncology is looking for a CT‑MRI Technician to join our Odessa clinic. This is a PRN role that can be Level 1, Level 2, or Senior based on candidate experience.

Responsibilities
  • Performs CT and MRI procedures as ordered, achieving a high level of quality.

  • Arranges preventive maintenance as recommended by vendor and follows prescribed safety standards in operating equipment.
  • Orders, logs, and returns outside films requested from other agencies; completes appropriate documentation.
  • Arranges for the release of films to patients and outside agencies.
  • Maintains paperwork for tracking loaned films and maintains confidentiality of all information related to patients and medical staff.
Qualifications
Level 1
  • Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited school.
  • Minimum three years experience as a CT/MRI Technologist.
  • Certification as a registered radiologic technologist (ARRT) required.
  • Current IV and CPR certifications required.
  • Certification in CT and MRI preferred.
Level 2 (In addition to Level 1 requirements)
  • Minimum five years experience as a CT/MRI Technologist.
Level Senior (In addition to Level 1 and 2 requirements)
  • Minimum seven years experience as a CT/MRI Technologist.

Requires ability to reach above shoulder height, requires sitting/standing for extensive periods of time, and requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
