Job summary

Texas Oncology in Odessa, TX, is seeking a CT-MRI Technician on a PRN basis to support the Odessa clinic. The role can be Level 1, 2, or Senior depending on experience.

The CT/MRI Technologist will perform CT and MRI procedures, advise physicians on study appropriateness, and ensure patient safety and comfort while maintaining quality control and completing required paperwork.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited school.
• ARRT certification required.
• Current IV and CPR certifications required.
• Level 2 requires minimum five years CT/MRI experience.
• Senior level requires minimum seven years CT/MRI experience.

Overview

Texas Oncology is looking for a CT-MRI Tech to support the Odessa clinic on a PRN basis. This role can be Level 1, 2, or Senior depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT and MRI procedures as ordered, ensuring high quality.
• Advise physicians on study appropriateness and on additional or modified studies.
• Escort patients to the treatment room and assist with dressings as needed.
• Complete necessary paperwork for the timely delivery of CT/MRI services.
• Process radiologic films, maintain logs, and handle routine paperwork.
• Maintain patient and personal protection per safety standards.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during care.
• Conduct daily quality control, report malfunctions, and request adjustments.
• Arrange preventive maintenance per vendor recommendations.
• Log and return outside films, release films to patients or external agencies.
• Maintain confidential records and loaned film tracking.

Qualifications

Level 1

• Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited school.
• Minimum three years experience as a CT/MRI Technologist.
• Certified Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required.
• Current IV and CPR certifications required.
• Certification in CT and MRI preferred.

Level 2 (in addition to Level 1)

• Minimum five years experience as a CT/MRI Technologist.

Level Senior (in addition to Level 1 and 2)

• Minimum seven years experience as a CT/MRI Technologist.

Physical Requirements

Responsibilities include lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds, moving patients in wheelchairs or stretchers up to 300 pounds, frequent standing or sitting, eye‑hand coordination, and normal vision and hearing.
