Memorial Hermann Health System seeks a Medical Physicist to lead CT and MRI protocol development, especially in cardiac imaging, within a large health system. You will collaborate with vendors, guide imaging initiatives, and advise leadership on equipment decisions while contributing to a comprehensive, in-house physics program.

You will develop programs, stay current with conferences, and help shape a culture of safety, quality, and collaboration across imaging services.

Qualifications

• Graduate education in physics with relevant specialty.
• Texas licensure in Medical Physics required.
• Board certification by ABR/ABMS or equivalent required.
• Clinical post-graduate experience preferred.
• Member of AAPM or equivalent society preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provides expertise in Diagnostic Radiological Physics and Medical Nuclear Physics.
• Serves as primary Radiation Safety Officer for X-Ray and RAM licenses.
• Develops and evaluates radiation safety policies to minimize exposure.
• Oversees Equipment Performance Evaluations for x-ray and other imaging modalities.
• Performs dosimetry calculations to meet regulatory standards.
• Coordinates shielding evaluation and system performance with stakeholders.
• Supports accreditation processes through the ACR and regulatory surveys.
• Leads regulatory inspections and radiation safety committees as needed.
