Job summary

UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center in Steamboat Springs, CO, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform MRI and CT imaging in alignment with scope of practice and organizational standards.

The role requires ARRT certification in MR and CT, an accredited Radiologic Technologist program, and BLS certification. The job offers relocation assistance up to $20,000 and a full-time schedule with day shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• Registered as an RT and registered in MR and CT by ARRT. State licensure if required by law.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification through AHA or ARC and valid through 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history, physician's orders and does scheduling. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and responds to changes in status.
• Prepares equipment and supplies. Sets exposure factors and imaging parameters. Ensures safety standards and performs quality control. Troubleshoots and reports malfunctions.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedures. Analyzes results and addresses image quality issues; re-positions or repeats procedures as needed; enters and reports scan results.
