BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an extraordinary MRI Veterinary Assistant to support neurology services and diagnostic imaging in a fast-paced emergency and specialty environment.

You will perform patient intake and triage, set up and troubleshoot the MRI room, operate imaging equipment, assist in capturing radiographs, venipuncture and catheter placement, provide clear discharge instructions, and maintain accurate records of history, treatments, and client communication.

The primary function of the Veterinary Assistant is to be responsible for helping with treatments of stable hospitalized patients and helping with stable outpatient diagnostics and treatments.

As a MRI Veterinary Assistant, you will perform:

• Patient intake and triage
• Set-up and troubleshoot MRI room and machine
• Operating diagnostic imaging equipment (primarily MRI) and assist in capturing radiographs and other diagnostic images
• Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement, according to associate level
• Clear and concise discharge instructions to clients.
• Maintenance of accurate records, including patient history, treatment details, and client communication. Assist with the completion of cost estimates.
• Diagnostics (i.e: CBC, Chem Panel, NOVA, iSTAT, UA)
• Work in conjunction with all technical staff across the hospital to ensure hospitalized patients receive optimal care. Maintain open communication with the Neurology Clinicians.
