Job summary

Shields Health in Massachusetts is seeking a patient-focused Radiology Aide to support technologists in preparing rooms, setting up coils, and assisting patients during MRI/CT procedures. You will help interview patients, ensure safety, and maintain equipment and supplies.

The role emphasizes mobility assistance, clear communication, and adherence to safety protocols. A high school diploma and CPR certification are required; lifting up to 25 pounds is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required.
• Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties.
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times
• Assist Technologist in setting up the room
• Set up proper coil for exam Ensure there is clean linen Make available any items, which may assist the patients setup
• Assist in the patient interview process
• Safety check list
• Prepare patients for exams and comfort them
• Explain procedure to patient and reassure anxious patients
• Assist technologist in setting the patient for exam and transfer to and from table
• Check paperwork and prior exams are available and accessible
• Assist with Tech Data Entry and cleaning/stocking of exam rooms
