Job summary

Harris County Public Health in Houston seeks an experienced MRC Program Manager to strengthen emergency response by recruiting and coordinating medical and non-medical volunteers, matching skills to community needs, and developing training and exercise programs.

Under PHPR supervision, you will work with HCOHSEM and state/National MRC programs to advance grant initiatives, manage volunteers, maintain records, and support all-hazards preparedness and response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public health, emergency management, or related field.
• Experience managing public health or volunteer programs including grant management and reports.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates recruitment and program initiatives for MRC volunteers.
• Oversees grants, applications, reports, and program development/evaluation.
• Identifies volunteer activities and coordinates emergency trainings and exercises.
• Maintains Training and Exercise Plan with PHPR team.
• Maintains database of MRC members; produces regular reports.
