Job summary

Hikinex in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a quality/ manufacturing professional to manage the MRB process and drive containment of nonconforming materials. You will review work instructions, provide feedback, and assist in root cause analysis to improve overall product quality.

The role requires strong attention to detail, experience with CAD and inspection data systems, and the ability to work independently within a team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in a relevant field, or equivalent experience in lieu of education.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or a quality/engineering related role.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment supporting HW development and quality management.
• Proficiency with CAD software and inspection data management software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Experience with Calibrated equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM, Faro arm, OMM, etc.)
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings (wire diagrams, work instructions, CAD)
• Analyze inspection results and provide feedback to production, manufacturing engineering, and quality engineering departments.
• Experience using investigative equipment such as x-ray inspection, digital characterization, material certificate of compliance, etc.
• Experience in a facility with AS9100, ISO9001, IATF 16949 or similar QMS standard
• Experience with validation and testing assemblies and their components
• Experience with communicating with suppliers and cross functional teams

Responsibilities

• Manage the MRB process and drive containment of nonconforming materials.
• Assist in root cause analysis and cross-functional problem solving.
• Review WIs and provide feedback to improve quality.
• Provide go/no-go decisions to inspectors as needed.
• Lead containment execution and verify nonconforming parts.
• Coordinate triage with engineering for disposition of nonconformances.
• Ensure accurate MRB data collection and reporting.
• Communicate process performance and quality issues to stakeholders.
• Track MRB metrics and report weekly.
• Coordinate RMA processes with warehouse and buyers.
• Maintain quality containment for material, tooling, and inspection equipment.
• Create and monitor inspection plans for incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
• Train technicians on inspection plans and data capture.
• Propose and implement QA policies and procedures with product quality engineers.
• Lead continuous improvement projects for productivity and quality.
